It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara A. George, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Born on October 29, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Barbara peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was a dedicated homemaker, finding immense joy in caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. She will always be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her kindness, and her unwavering love for her family members. Barbara will forever be remembered as a devoted wife to her late husband, Edward George, and a loving mother to her children Mark (Kelly) George, Linda (Tim) Patton, Chris (Susan) George, Jenny (Tony) Post, late Richard George, Amy (Dan) Rigby, Sharon (John) Cook, and Vicki (Dan) Dettweiler. She was a proud grandmother to Eric (Rachel), Evan (Christina), Emily (Chris), Lauren (John), Kristin (Tyler), Erin (Jonah), Tiffany, Ryan (ShiAnn), Jacob, Nina, and Thomas Henry, as well as a cherished great grandmother to Paitynn, Evie, Eddie, Luke, Maeve, and Carter. Barbara will also be remembered fondly as a dear sister to Mary Jo Dyer, Phyllis Hamilton, Juliann Bucher and the late Donald Hauck.  Barbara will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family, and her memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

With a passion for nature, Barbara found solace in her rose garden and the companionship of her beloved dog, Charlie. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from curling up with a good book to spending quality time with her family, playing games and watching game shows. Her warm heart and nurturing spirit will always be remembered by those who knew her.

The family of Barbara George will be holding a funeral service to celebrate her life. A visitation will take place at St. Anthony of Padua, 2530 Victory Pkwy, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial  at 10:00 a.m. This will be a time to honor and commemorate the life of a woman who brought immense love and light to all those around her.

Barbara's legacy of love and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for all the beauty and kindness she brought into the world. May she rest in eternal peace.
