Arthur Flowers ("Art" or "Junior") age 88, passed away on January 29, 2024.  He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 9, 1935 the son of Arthur and Edith Flowers.  On May 28, 1955 he married June Haefner wherein they celebrated 51 years of marriage before her death in 2006. He is survived by his sister-in-law Sheila Flowers, many nieces, nephews and friends, including dear friends Jack and Merle.  Art was preceded in death by his loving wife June Flowers, his parents Arthur and Edith Flowers, his three sisters Elnora Wade, Millie Rosenberg, Lovell Wade, and his three brothers Ronnie Flowers, Walt Flowers and Melvin Flowers.  Art was a caring, helping and thoughtful man, a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend to many.  He joined the Air Force at a young age being stationed in New York. He was a city and long-distance truck driver for many years driving for Holland Trucking and was a devoted teamsters union member.  He was also active in the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Central Turner's club.  All this led to him being commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel.  Art with his wife June enjoyed their bowling and golf leagues and their travels lead them to making many lasting friendships.  As a young man he could entertain others by his talent of walking on his hands and doing back flips which was amazing.  He enjoyed watching old westerns, various sports especially the Bengals or his grand-niece and nephew's local games and recently learning how to use a cell phone.  He and his wife had a love for dogs owning many German shepherds. He always looked forward to his Saturday breakfasts with a special group of friends throughout the years.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  Visitation will be held at the Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with the service beginning at 12:00 pm and the burial to follow at the Vine Street Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made in Art's honor to the American Heart Association , 9825 Kenwood Rd, Blue Ash, OH 45242 or the American Lung Association , 55 W.
