In loving memory of Anita Marie Comarata, who was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 08, 1956, and was the cherished daughter of the late Jack and Dorothy Burger. Anita peacefully passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 70 surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and her nurturing and bright spirit will be missed dearly.

Anita was the loving wife of 42 years to Jim Comarata. Together, they crafted a beautiful life filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories. Anita was the loving mother of Curt (Jess) Comarata and Lissa (Kim) Comarata. She was the cherished grandmother of Aubri, Andrew, Alex and Kennedy. She was also the dear sister of Steve (Trisha) Burger. Anita cherished her family above all, as she loved caring for them and supporting them. Any way she could. Anita will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her family, and her memory will live on through stories filled with love and laughter.

Anita took great pride in her gift for gardening as she proudly worked at White Oak Garden Center for over 20 years. She shared her knowledge with the community as she would teach gardening classes at the local library. She also had a self-made business making plant pots that she would then sell and gift to others. She had a natural green thumb and loved to share that joy with others.

Outside of her professional life she was known for being very charitable. As she would also sponsor a kid at St. Joe orphanage during Christmas taking on over 50 kids making sure all their needs were met. She would also organize teams to pull weeds and plant flowers at our lady of the woods as she loved keeping things nice. She also would deliver food and send cards to elderly people giving them joy and comfort.

To honor Anita's compassionate spirit, a visitation will take place at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 2553 Banning Road, Cincinnati, OH 45239 on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. James Church, 3565 Hubble Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45247 on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Celebration of Life will follow after the burial service at St. James Cemetery at Clovernook Country Club 2035 West Galbraith Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45239 from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM. We invite all who knew Anita to come together in remembrance and reflection, celebrating a life well-lived and a spirit that will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the PSP and CBD Foundation, 325 Hudson Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10013 in honor of Anita's generous spirit and enduring love for family.
