Angela P. Fortuno passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 18, 2024.

Angela was born on August 20, 1931 in the Visayan Island city of Iloilo of the Philippines and was the third daughter of Policarpo and Christina (nee Peñaranda) Pasco.  She was a strong, magnetic, vibrant Soul who devoted her earthly life in service to God via nursing, being a loving supportive wife/mother/grandmother/aunt. In her free time, she loved to bake, host parties and spend quality time with family (especially her granddaughter) and friends.  She had many friends who she greatly cherished.

Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Saint Paul College of Nursing in the Philippines.  She began her career as a surgical nurse where she met and worked with her then future husband, Chief Surgeon, Dr. Salvador Z. Fortuno.  Some years later - she fulfilled one of her dreams and immigrated to the United States where she, along with her young family, eventually became naturalized American citizens.

In America, Angela continued to grow her nursing career first in New York and then Ohio. She worked as a floor nurse for several years and eventually elevated to the Head Nurse position. Her ambitious nature led her to earn a Masters in Nursing. She then worked as a Nurse Coordinator for close to twenty years until retirement.

Angela is survived by her two children (daughter-in-law), granddaughter (her husband) and many close nieces/nephews. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, two older sisters, older half brother (from her father's first wife who passed) and younger sister who passed in infancy.

Visitation will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church - 5361 Dry Ridge Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45252 on Wednesday January 24, 2024 from 10am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm.

Angela's ashes will later be interned at Crown Hill Memorial Park - 11825 Pippin Rd Cincinnati, OH 45231 - on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, it would honor Angela's memory if donations were made to veterans' organizations in need for she and her husband had great respect for military service men and women.
